Who we are
In recent years, members of Redeemer Community Church from across north Jefferson County began praying and dreaming together about seeing a similar church planted in their community. This had happened once before in Homewood, when Grace Fellowship was planted in 2017. As they prayed and talked with the leaders of both churches, it became clear that God was leading them to partner together to plant Trinity Fellowship.
Trinity Fellowship is a church plant of Redeemer Community Church. We share the same theological convictions, but we are not affiliated with a formal denomination.
Trinity Fellowship launched in September 2024. We have gathered in living rooms, worshiped under an open-air pavilion at Cornerstone Ranch, and set up church weekly at the Fultondale Event Center. In July 2026, we moved into our current ministry home at Fulton Springs Methodist Church. Our locations have changed, but our commitment to being a gospel-centered family remains the same.
Two years after launching, in September 2026, the church will hold a covenant service to formally establish its membership and install elders.
Trinity Fellowship is an independent church. Our long-term aim is to continue growing while partnering with the Redeemer family of churches in celebrating and declaring the gospel across the region.

Our leadership
Trinity is served each week by volunteers serving in many ways to build up the body of Christ.
We believe churches are best led by a plurality of local elders. As we begin, Brandon Nelson pastors Trinity while meeting with the elders of Redeemer for support and accountability. We pray that the Lord will raise up a group of qualified men to join him in overseeing and shepherding this local congregation.
Brandon is originally from north Jefferson County. Before joining the staff of Redeemer Community Church in 2024 as a church-planting resident, he served as a pastor and missionary in the United Kingdom and Burkina Faso. He is married to Julia, and they have four children.
