The Golden Calf

In Exodus 32, we studied how idolatry stems from fear rather than mere hunger. Because God remains both merciful and just, we were reminded that while Moses could not atone for Israel’s sin, Jesus drank the cup of wrath in our place so that God could show us steadfast love without compromising His holiness.
